Our vision

The Company has evolved from a sole proprietorship to an incorporated company.  On a grander scale, Burchell Upholstery envisions moving beyond its current successes in Chicago to a strategy that achieves nation-wide brand awareness through its formation of new showrooms.   This larger footprint will also offer a competitive impact on the upholstery industry, by building a vocational campus that inspires the art of upholstery for students within the community we serve.  


We partner with a variety of textile companies and believe in a simple and uncomplicated approach to design and construction that allows our clients to perceive Burchell Upholstery as an innovative business enterprise.  We provide high touch, intimate service, but still embody the pertinent elements of a business committed to service excellence and quality product outcomes.

I just completed two projects with Burchell upholstery. One was Upholstery of a recliner, the other was custom upholstery for a banquette. Both turned out beautiful. Beth, who helps with fabric selection, was really easy to work with. She is an artist and has a good eye for Colors and fabrics. Christopher did the install and the actual upholstery and also did beautiful work. I am very happy with it.

Beth was so helpful with an estimate and helping us pick out the perfect fabric for our huge sectional. They picked it up and dropped it back off at our home. They got the job done faster than I thought! Our sectional looks great because they did an amazing job with the reupholstery. We love it and will definitely be using them again.

I had two pieces reupholstered and they turned out great! Beth was super easy to work with and very responsive to my inquiry and emails. She coordinated a quick pick up of the pieces that were being moved from a friend's home on a tight deadline. I snapped a few of photos and sent dimensions and was able to get a quote. They will work with your budget and also allow you to bring in your own fabric. The communication with Robert was great too and my pieces were done within a few weeks. I had ordered fabric and once I dropped off the turnaround time was very fast. The attention to detail and work is excellent. In addition, supporting a local, minority owed business with 20years plus experience, and a low carbon footprint is wonderful. I highly recommend.
